: 3 chapter from Paul Revere: Boston Patriot by Augusta Stevenson from the Childhood of Famous Americans
Literature: The Lady of Shalott by Alfred Lord Tennyson we listened to Loreena McKennitt's The Visit who sings the poem. Very Cool. Thanks Camille S.! : )
Fairy Tales/Fables: 1 story from A Story To Tell: The Classic Book of Virtues for Children
Read-a-loud: 3 chapters of The Hawk That Dare Not Hunt by Day by Scott O'Dell
Memorization: Books of the New Testament (Olivia's got them down now) and first 10 presidents of the USA
Fine Arts: What Your 4th Grader Needs to Know pgs.227-232 Gothic Cathedrals
Science: Our Father's World, chapter 4: God Created Plants
Spanish: We went through Spanish words from a picture primer. The kids loved it.
Reading: We take turns reading all of the above material everyday.
Science/Pet Care: Jared and Olivia each have a hamster that they are responsible for. They also take turns caring for our dog, cat and sea monkeys.

Music: Practiced her voice lesson
Sewing/Art: She sewed clothes clothes for her American Girls Doll for over two hours. I should take some pictures. They were pretty creative. It was the perfect love of learning afternoon for her. She was very happy.
Math: Lesson 39
Spelling: 1 spell drill
Language Arts: Diagramming Sentences
Life Skills: Went with me to visit the sick and afflicted

My son is going to work with his dad today and won't be back till late. I have such a hard time doing school unless all the kids are here together. Perhaps I will take the day off of school and focus on some of the things I need to get done!
