American History: The Story of Valley Forge a Cornerstones of Freedom book by R. Conrad Stein
Literature: Read a simplified children's "Beowulf" out of The Story of the World 2 AND The Owl and the Pussycat by Edward Lear and James Marshall
Character: 1 story from A Story to Tell by Desert Book
Read-a-loud: 2 chapters from The Hardy Boys #3
Memorization: First 35 presidents of the USA (I almost have them all done!!)
Family History: An autobiography of James Lick Hancock my maternal ggrandfather (We have several biographies of him so we'll be reading about him for a while).
Math Game: Played a fraction game by Discovery Toys
World History: Chapter 2 from Story of the World Vol. 2
Geography: Ancient Celtic, Norman and Saxon lands
Science: Looked up meteoroids on the Internet
PE: Lots of running around time in the gym
Reading: We take turns reading all of the above material everyday.
Science/Pet Care: Jared and Olivia each have a hamster that they are responsible for. They also take turns caring for our dog, cat and sea monkeys.
