01/14/09: Keep Reading!

Today the kids wanted to keep reading for Mom School and they didn't want to do anything else. So instead of Mom School getting done and 10:30 or 11:00 we didn't get done until 12:30. They just kept throwing books in my lap. Long books too! They were disappointed when we stopped but I was hungry and my throat was done!

To Show Parent Core/Love of Learner/Scholar here are some things we modeled to the children today...
Deanna: Scriptures, journal, piano, violin (I've learned all the "notes." I'm squeaking out songs from in the Children's songbook right now. The kids recognized the songs so that's good!), helped at scouts, made dinner for a "sick and afflicted" family, went to a stake Young Women's meeting, and attended Stake Standards Night.
Alex: Scriptures, went to work and listened to the Illiad by Homer.
