TJEd says they'll choose to read classics some day. We are just suppose to inspire them and give them the tools they need. I'm happy to say the process is working in our home!Olivia (age 10) just finished Jane Eyre-her first real classic. And that's not a little book people! It's over 500 pages in small print written in early 1800 English. Way to go Olivia!
Jared (age 9) just finished Eragon-his first non-twaddle book. Yeah! It took him 2 months but he persevered. That was 497 pages to be exact.
Luke (age 8) just finished The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe-his first non-twaddle book also.
So take heart moms it'll work!
