Biography/American History: Read a chapter in Little House in the Big Woods.
Memorization: Books of the Old Testament and the Pearl of Great Price.
Music: Rythm Poem
Science: Nervous System and The Brain from The Usborne Book of Knowledge.
PE: Played outside for several hours in the water-it was over 90 degrees finally. YEAH!

Olivia
Religion: Read a chapter in the Book of Mormon.
Music: Lots of singing and she practiced the piano.
Geography: Did a geography lesson from Evan-Moor 5.
Language Arts: Predicates from Easy Grammar
Vocabulary: Peterson's Word of the Day- Sporadic
Vocabulary/Language Usage: Took a language test for classical roots.
Literature: Read in Robinson Crusoe for over an hour.
PE/Life Skills: Had horse riding lessons.

Religion: Read a chapter in the Doctrine and Covenants Reader.
Music: Did a music theory lesson and had his piano lesson.
Math: Did a Saxon 5/4 lesson.
Math Drill: Multiplacation drill
Spelling: 1 spell drill
Handwriting: Did a cursive handwriting lesson from A Reason for Writing.
Luke
Religion: Read a chapter in the Book of Mormon.
Math: Did 4 Saxon Math 2 lessons.
Spelling: 1 spell drill
Phonics/Handwriting: Did 4 pages of Explode the Code.
Reading: Read several lessons in the McGuffy Second Reader.
Creative Writing: He's started on another "book." This one is part two of his previous story. He spends a great deal typing and thinking about his stories. It amazes me that an 8 year old can be so passionate.
Language Arts: Did a Let's Write lesson.
Caleb
Religion: Read a couple of verses in the Book of Mormon.
Math: Did 2 work book pages.
Math Drill: Telling time practice
Spelling: 1 spell drill
Phonics/Handwriting: Did 3 Explode the Code pages.
Reading: Read a phonics reader and a McGuffy Primer lesson to me.
Family Home Evening:
Tonight was high school graduation. We went to three parties and then graduation. Our Young Women/Young Men program just dropped in half! They were all wonderful and we'll miss them. Some will be gone on their missions by the end of the summer. Sniffle. Sigh. Can you tell I'm in the Young Women's and I'm really attached to these kids? Our kids personal and only babysitter they've had since she was 11 just gratuaded too. Blubber, blubber...
To Show Parent Core/Love of Learner/Scholar here are some things we modeled to the children today...
Deanna: Scriptures, journal, spell drill, word of the day, worked on my BYU class-finished a chapter and got a 100% on the quiz-almost finished another chapter, and practiced the piano.
Alex: Scriptures, word of the day, went to work, he played Wii Sports with the kids and he is listening to Master and Commander.
