about Lakes, Canyons and Valleys in Idaho.
Read-a-loud: We read one chapter from The Silver Chair by CS Lewis.
Literature: We read "The Twelfth Night" from Tales of Shakespeare by Usborne. We also read several poems from Poems for Memorization.
Science: Read a chapter in Science: A Closer Look by Macmillan/McGraw-Hill. You know it's a good book when everyday they say, "Please read another chapter!"

Caleb

Spelling: 1 spell drill
Phonics/Handwriting: 3 pages of Explode the Code
Reading: Read in The Cat and the Hat Comes Back to me. Practiced his sight words by using a highlighter and finding them in The Friend.
Reading/Computer: Played RAZ-kids on line.

Family (in the evening):
Worked on the land.
Did chores at our cousins.

Deanna: Scriptures, journal, spell drill, word of the day, practiced the piano, started The Suppliants, wrote part of another part for my BYU English 314 class, and worked on my Greek.
Alex: Scriptures, word of the day, went golfing, finished the Sackett book, started another book on tape, went to work, and had some Bishopric responsibilities.
