I can't even begin to tell you how painfully screwed up our day was. Later on I realized half the things we forgot. I don't think I was functioning on a full brain level today. That's okay though! Luke and Olivia started a ten-week writing course that's 2 1/2 hours long. We thought it was in the afternoon, but found out it was this morning. Jared went to Salt Lake with Alex to take Alex's sister to the MTC....

Free Reading: Read for over two hours in Peter and the Star Catchers.

Luke
Religion: Read in the Book of Mormon.

Math: Did Saxon Math 3 lesson.
Phonics/Handwriting: Did 5 pages of Explode the Code.
Creative Writing: Attended the writing class. This is going to be hard, but well worth his time. He's very excited he was allowed "in!"
Language Arts: Did a Daily Grams lesson. He informed me that he LOVES doing Daily Grams.
Caleb
Geography: Did an Evan-Moor lesson.
Math: Did a Saxon Math 2 lesson.
Phonics/Handwriting: 1 page of Explode the Code
Reading: Reread 1/2 of Bears on Wheels to me. Practiced some sight words.
Logic: Played with pattern blocks and made pictures with them.
To Show Parent Core/Love of Learner/Scholar here are some things we modeled to the children today...
Deanna: Scriptures, word of the day, piano, read in The Lord of the Rings the Twin Towers, started The City of Bones, and worked some more on the Family History research I'm doing.
Alex: Scriptures, word of the day, went to Salt Lake and had a delightful day with Jared jabbering in his ear the whole there and back.
