Idaho History: Read about the Lewis and Clark Expedition getting started from A Rendezvous with Idaho History.
Literature: We read two chapters and finished The Silver Chair by CS Lewis. (So good!)
Greek: Alphabet
Poetry: We read numerous poems from Classic Poetry: An Illustrated Collection selected by Michael Rosen.
World History: We 2 chapters in The Adventures of Odysseus and the Tale of Troy by Padraic Colum
Chores: House chores and animal care
Science: We read about worms, centipedes and lots of other creatures from Usborne's Illustrated Science Encyclopedia.

Olivia
Religion: Read a chapter in Genesis
Geography: Did an Evan-Moor lesson.
Math: Did a Saxon 7/6 lesson.
Language Arts: Did a Daily Grams lesson

Creative Writing: Did her scholar writing assignment and went to scholar class.
Science: Did a science lesson from her science textbook.
Music: Practiced her piano lesson
Reading: Read for two hours in The Book of a Thousand Days by Shannon Hale.
Club: Had Activity Days and attended a 4-H meeting.

Jared
Religion: Read in the Book of Mormon.
Music: Practiced his piano lesson
Geography: Did an Evan-Moor lesson.
Math: Did a Saxon 6/5 lesson and a math drill sheet.
Spelling: 1 spell drill
Phonics/Handwriting: 5 pages of Explode the Code

Grammar: Did a Daily Grams lesson and he did a Mad Libs page.
Club: Went to scouts and went to a 4-H meeting. He has earned his Bear Badge.
Handwriting: Doing a final draft of a story he wrote.

Luke
Religion: Read in the Book of Mormon
Geography: Did an Evan-Moor lesson.
Math: Did a Saxon 3 lesson.
Phonics/Handwriting: 5

Club: Went to a 4-H meeting.

To Show Parent Core/Love of Learner/Scholar here are some things we modeled to the children today...
Deanna: Scriptures, journal, word of the day, made dinner with a friend for some families in our town who just lost a loved one, reading in The Well Trained Mind, led Activity Days, led a Scout meeting, and read in The Persians by Aeschyuls.
Alex: Scriptures, word of the day, went to work (Boise day), finished The Fountainhead and started Atlas Shrugged.

I'm glad I found your site...I'm a public school educator with an interest in homeschooling. I'll definitely be checking back to read about how the curriculum you use works with the learning potential present in everyday life. Good stuff...

Thank you for being the rock I need in homeschooling. I have floundered quite a bit this year due to all the stress I am going through. I hope to do better but have been feeling very overwhelmed and bad about myself. I need to smack myself and get back to a good routine. I love your blog and appreciate you.
