Preparing for Missions

Here's a great article that my friend Heather pointed out to me. It points out how we can prepare our youth for their missions by limiting media in their life and how to teach them balance with these things. Also it address ways to improve social behavior in order to be more successful on a mission. This is a great article for those who think that Headgates might be to strict. The article reminds us again that we definitely need to close what I now call 'the headgates' in certain things.

I've heard about missionaries that have to go home because they're too addicted to their cell phones. It's criminal the way parents are ruining their children for anything real in this life.

It is no laughing matter when grown men are spending their entire lives playing video games.

Recently, my daughter took a BYU Idaho family science class, and was astounded to hear that the number one reason for divorce in young married LDS couples is...GAMING.

It's nice to see that there are people aware of what a big problem it can be. Thanks for the link to the article!
