Family Scripture Study: 2 Timothy 2
Weekly Family Scripture Memorization: 1 Nephi 15:11

Idaho History: Finished reading about the Lewis and Clark Expedition getting started from A Rendezvous with Idaho History.
Art: Collected leaves at our land. Then they painted them and pressed them onto paper. They used different colors. They turned out good!
World History: We 2 chapters in The Adventures of Odysseus and the Tale of Troy by Padraic Colum and we read several pages on Greece after the "Greek Dark Ages" from Usborne's Greek History book.
Myths: Read about Persephone and the Pomegranate Seeds out of the book Greek Myths by Geraldine McCaughrean.
Literature: Started The Last Battle by C.S. Lewis and read two chapters.
Science: We read about bees, ants, termites, spiders and scorpions from The Natural World Illustrated Science Encyclopedia by Usbore. Caleb loves this book. We also read a chapter from Science: A Closer Look by Macmillan/McGraw-Hill.
Chores: House chores and animal care
PE: Worked on our land.

Olivia
Religion: Read a chapter in Genesis and studied about the Restoration and the Book of Mormon out of Preach My Gospel.
Geography: Did an Evan-Moor lesson.
Math: Did a Saxon 7/6 lesson.
Language Arts: Did a Daily Grams lesson

Creative Writing: Did her scholar writing assignment.
Science: Did a science lesson from her science textbook.
Music: Practiced her piano lesson. She also practiced some vocal pieces.
Reading: Read in The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale for over an hour.

Jared
Religion: Read in the Book of Mormon.
Music: Practiced his piano lesson
Geography: Did an Evan-Moor lesson.
Math: Did a Saxon 6/5 lesson and a multiplication drill sheet.
Spelling: 1 spell drill
Phonics/Handwriting: 5 pages of Explode the Code
and finished another book!
Creative Writing: Rewriting his essay about his trip to DC this summer.
Grammar: Did a Daily Grams lesson.
Book on Tape: Listened to Daniel and Nephi for over an hour.

Luke
Religion: Read in the Book of Mormon
Geography: Did an Evan-Moor lesson.
Math: Did a Saxon 3 lesson.
Phonics/Handwriting: 5
pages of Explode the Code
Grammar: Did a
Daily Grams lesson.
Spelling: Did a spell drill.
Scouts: Worked on several scouting requirements.
Life Skills: Made dinner with me.

Caleb
Religion: Read some verses to me in the Book of Mormon.
Reading: Read a story to me.
Geography: Did a lesson from Evan-Moor.
Math: Did one Saxon Math 2 lesson.
Spelling: 1 spell drill
Phonics/Handwriting: 2 pages of Explode the Code
Language Arts: Practiced his sight words by using a highlighter and finding them in The Friend.

Family (in the evening):
Played Phase 10.
(Alex was at Roundtable).

To Show Parent Core/Love of Learner/Scholar here are some things we modeled to the children today...
Deanna: Scriptures, journal, lesson from the Joseph Smith R.S./Priesthood manual, word of the day, worked on my BYU literature class, sawed down many Russian Olives-I'm getting strong!, and read in Undaunted by Gerald Lund.
Alex: Scriptures, word of the day, went to work in Boise, listening to Atlas Shrugged, and went to a district scout meeting. (Alex loves scouts!-Read much sarcasm in that statement!)
