Idaho History: Read about the Spaldings and the Whitmans who were the first missionaries in Idaho from A Rendezvous with Idaho History.
World History: We read about the clothing of the Greek people from Usborne's Greek History book.
World History Literature: Read one chapter in Gilgamesh by Geraldine McCaughrean
Myths: We read several long stories including Jason and the Golden Fleece, Theseus and the Minator and the Labors of Heracles from the book Greek Myths by Geraldine McCaughrean.
Literature: Read and finished the last half of The Last Battle by C.S. Lewis. We just kept reading and reading. We ended up eating lunch at 2:30.
Science: We read more about birds from The Natural World Illustrated Science Encyclopedia by Usborne. We also read a chapter from Science: A Closer Look by Macmillan/McGraw-Hill.
Chores: House chores and animal care

Math: Did a Saxon 7/6 lesson.
Language Arts: Did a Daily Grams lesson.
Reading: Read several chapters in the Work and the Glory #7.
Spelling: Did a spell drill.

Music: Practiced her piano lesson. Practiced her vocal solo.

Math: Did another Saxon 6/5 test and a subtraction drill sheet.

Creative Writing: Did a Let's Write lesson.
Grammar: Did a Daily Grams lesson.
Spelling: Copied a list of spelling words and practiced them.
Book on Tape: Listened to another Nancy Drew book on tape.

Luke
Religion: Read in the Book of Mormon
Geography: Did an Evan-Moor lesson.
Math: Did a Saxon 3 lesson. Did a worksheet on rounding to the nearest ten.
Phonics/Handwriting: 5 pages of Explode the Code
Grammar: Did a Daily Grams lesson.
Reading: Read several stories in his McGuffy Reader.
Spelling: Copied a list of spelling words and practiced them.
Creative Writing: Worked on a story for almost two hours. Finally finished the "prologue" and added dress up words to complete it for his writing class tomorrow.
Music: Practiced his piano lesson.

Caleb
Religion: Read some verses to me in the Book of Mormon.
Reading: Read a story to me. Read in his McGuffy Reader to me.
Geography: Did a lesson from Evan-Moor.
Math: Did one Saxon Math 2 lesson.
Spelling: 1 spell drill and copied a list of spelling words and practiced them.
Phonics/Handwriting: 2 pages of Explode the Code
Math Game: Played Money!Money! and Rack-O with me.

To Show Parent Core/Love of Learner/Scholar here are some things we modeled to the children today...
Deanna: Scriptures, journal, word of the day, read a book about global warming that I won on Goodreads and finished the Susan Wise Bauer history book.
Alex: Scriptures, word of the day, lots of outside work, went to work, listening to some lectures on tape and went to scouts mutual and taught some more on a merit badge he'd teaching them.
