Idaho History: Read about the Jesuits in Idaho from A Rendezvous with Idaho History.
World History: We read about the clothing of the Greek people from Usborne's Greek History book.
Myths: We read The Trojan Horse, The Odyssey and Prometheus Bound and finished Greek Myths by Geraldine McCaughrean.
Science: We read about mammals from The Natural World Illustrated Science Encyclopedia by Usborne. We also read a chapter from Science: A Closer Look by Macmillan/McGraw-Hill.
Chores: House chores and animal care
PE: Played at the land for an hour.

Olivia
Religion: Read a chapter in the Bible.
Math: Did a Saxon 7/6 lesson.
Language Arts: Did a Daily Grams lesson

Spelling: Did a spell drill.
Science: Did a science lesson from her science textbook.
Music: Practiced her piano lesson. Attended piano lessons.
Research: Researching about minute men in the Revolutionary War for a paper she has due.

Jared
Religion: Read in the Book of Mormon.
Music: Practiced piano lesson. Attended piano lessons.
Geography: Did an Evan-Moor lesson.
Math: Did a Saxon 6/5 lesson.
Phonics/Handwriting: 5 pages of Explode the Code

Handwriting: Practiced his cursive letters from The Reason for Writing series.
Creative Writing: Did a Let's Write lesson.
Grammar: Did a Daily Grams lesson.
Spelling: Took a spelling test. Copied a list of spelling words and practiced them.
Book on Tape: Started The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien.
Drawing/Art: Lots and lots of coloring and drawing figures for a book he wants to write. He has pages and pages of drawings.

Luke
Religion: Read in the Book of Mormon
and prepared a family Home Evening lesson.
Geography: Did an Evan-Moor lesson.
Math: Did a Saxon 3 lesson.
Phonics/Handwriting: 5
pages of Explode the Code
Grammar: Did a
Daily Grams lesson.
Reading: Read several stories and finished the Second McGuffy Reader.
Spelling: Took a spelling test, did a spell drill and copied a list of spelling words and practiced them.
Drawing: Spent several hours drawing characters in his notebook.
Music: Practiced his piano lesson and attended piano lessons.

Caleb
Religion: Read some verses to me in the Book of Mormon.
Reading: Read a story to me.
Geography: Did a lesson from Evan-Moor.
Math: Did one Saxon Math 2 lesson.
Spelling: Took a spelling test, did a spell drill and
copied a list of spelling words and practiced them.
Phonics/Handwriting: 2 pages of Explode the Code
Math Game: Played several games of Sum Swamp with me.
Games-General: Played Sorry and Turtlemania with me.
Drawing: Drew several pictures and carried his note book around all day drawing.

Family Home Evening:
Songs: I Believe in Christ Played by Olivia-her first time in FHE! And Jared played How Firm a Foundation for his first time also.
Testimonies: Alex, Deanna, Olivia, Caleb and Luke
Character: Learned about church meeting behavior from Uncommon Courtesy.
Scripture Memorization: Galatians 5:15
Proclamation to the World and the Family paragraph: 4th
Articles of Faith: 10th
Talent: Dad can do tile!
Lesson: Given by Luke based on President Monson's talk.
Activity: Star Wars Trivia Pursuit
Treats: Cheese cake by Olivia

To Show Parent Core/Love of Learner/Scholar here are some things we modeled to the children today...
Deanna: Scriptures, journal, word of the day, piano practicing, and various other things. (How's that for a recap?)
Alex: Scriptures, word of the day, started Gilgamesh, and went to work.

So, you probably dont know, but your blogs inspire me. A lot. I have decided to once again do my homeschool blog to rememdy this constant feeling of "not getting enough done". I think I am, just not reporting on it feeds my guilt. Anyway, I am going to take from your blog and run with it. Watch for it soon! lol Thanks again for being so awesome.
