We didn't get as much done today as we'd (I'd) hoped to. Outside forces have a way of converging into your life sometimes. The power was out for several hours this afternoon so that "added" to the excitement.

Health: Healthy Lifestyles from Lesson 1 in Eat Well and Keep Moving by Cheung
Science/Pet Care: Jared and Olivia each have a hamster that they are responsible for. They also take turns caring for our dog, cat and sea monkeys.
Service: Babysitting

Science: Read a chapter and worked on her vocabulary in her science book. She's learning about cells.
Art: Held an art class for her 2 yr old cousin and she made paper snowflakes.

Spelling: 1 spell drill
Language Arts: Prepositional Phrases
Vocabulary: Peterson's Word of the Day- ADEPT
Reading: Read books to her 2-yr old cousin.
Life Skills: Babysitting
Computers: Put some more programs onto the computer for me.

Creative Play: Lot's of Lego's
Caleb
Math: Played with his weights and measures kit.
Free Reading: Read various books for 30 min.
Creative Play/Social: Played with his 5 year old cousin all day.
Family (in the evening):
Tore our house apart (this was an all night event) because it's getting painted tomorrow. The fun never ends!
To Show Parent Core/Love of Learner/Scholar here are some things we modeled to the children today...
Deanna: Scriptures, journal, word of the day, finished a Geography chapter for my BYU class, took a quiz and ordered my midterm, read part of a chapter in The Iliad by Homer.
Alex: Scriptures, word of the day, worked in the temple, read in the Ensign, listened to Dracula by Bram Stoker, listened to the Iliad by Homer and went to work.
